Hemlock Falls

This preserve has significant ecological and cultural value in Richland County. This fragile ecosystem contains a stunning waterfall and grand rock formations that host threatened native plants including the Rock Serviceberry and Eastern Hemlock trees. The variety and abundance of mosses and ferns fed by spray from the waterfalls are protected by a canopy of mature hardwood forest. This unique and peaceful setting is one of Richland County’s most treasured natural areas.
